In addition to audio production, MIERUBA is engaged in supporting the artistic creation in Mali. The label's headquarters located in Ségou, the former capital of the Bambara empire, is a true cultural center for locals and travellers.
MIERUBA ART CENTER regularly organizes residencies to support local artists and to allow the meeting between traditional Malian and foreign music. The center also offers to teach the practice of traditional instruments and their design during workshops and stages.
It also hosts a large collection of artworks, from Adama Kouyaté, one of Mali’s photography pioneers, to Amaguiré Dolo and Amoudou Sanago, in addition to temporary exhibitions.
Travelers can accommodate in the 8 spacey rooms or camp in the spacious garden to feel the atmosphere of an arty and yet familiar setting, a few hundred meters from the Niger River.
