ABOUT
Founded in 2010 in Ségou, Mali, MIERUBA is an independent music label dedicated to Malian folk songs and blues.
Despite Mali's cultural richness, most artists work under foreign labels, hence the need to create Mieruba and relocate music production.
Thanks to a deep-rooted knowledge of Malian culture, the label seeks to safeguard Mali's heritage, value the great masters who are still active, and bring out new talents.
Mieruba promotes Malian music in close collaboration with the artists who create it and supports their efforts to assert their rights.
The label's headquarters is located in the Mieruba Art Center located in Ségou, a meeting and exchange place for local and foreign artists.
